Stern Family Summer Project

The Stern Family Summer Project, now in its 10th year, is made possible by the generous support of long-time Holland & Hart client and Holland & Hart Foundation donor, the Stern family. This project encourages the daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren of attorneys and staff at Holland & Hart to learn about the value of philanthropy and volunteerism from an early age, and also helps benefit the organizations that are selected by the kids who participate.

To participate, a child needs to volunteer or (if too young to volunteer) to visit an organization of that child’s choosing. After volunteering or visiting, the child has to write a letter or submit a drawing to the Holland & Hart Foundation telling us about the experience. A donation is then made directly from the Holland & Hart Foundation to the organization in the name of the child.

This year, 25 children ranging in age from 5 to age 17 with connections to the firm’s Cheyenne, Denver, Denver Tech Center, and Salt Lake City offices volunteered or visited an organization of their choice, and $2,400 was donated to 15 different organizations on behalf of the Stern Family.

In this ninth year of the project, 37 children from the firm’s Boise, Cheyenne, Denver, Denver Tech Center, Jackson, Reno, and Salt Lake City offices volunteered or visited an organization of their choice and shared their experience in a letter or a drawing. $3,700 was donated to 20 organizations on behalf of the Stern Family.
