We collected winter clothing for Good Samaritan
Mission, a homeless shelter, and Community Safety
Network (CSN), a shelter for abused women and
children. CSN also reaped the rewards of our annual
cooking project. We donned our chef hats to create
hearty meals to be frozen for the working women
residents and their children.
We also purchased toiletry items for needy
men, women, and children and assembled them into
large plastic bags for distribution at the local food bank,
Jackson Cupboard. Normally, people are only able to
receive food here but not toiletry items. Our toiletry
bags helped fill this need. |
