Adopt-A-Student:The Colorado Springs office provided holiday gifts to eighteen needy students through the Adopt-A-Student Christmas Assistance Program, which serves about 350 local students. Twelve volunteers shopped for gifts and the office hosted a gift-wrapping lunch before the presents were delivered to the students.
Starlight Children's Foundation: The Starlight Children's Foundation Colorado helps seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. This year, members of the Colorado Springs office committee of the Holland & Hart Foundation selected Starlight Colorado as the recipient of the their 15th anniversary project. In the spring, the Colorado Springs office committee of the Holland & Hart Foundation raised money for Starlight that was matched by another organization through a challenge grant. In December, attorneys and staff worked to organize a wrapping lunch to wrap toys donated by the office to be distributed at the Starlight Holiday Party.
Annual Firm-wide Food Drive: Nearly everyone in the Colorado Springs office supported the annual firm-wide food drive, in support of Care & Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado, which supplies more than 340 partner agencies (community-based pantries, soup kitchens and shelters) with food for those in need throughout 52,000 square miles of Southern Colorado. In total, the office provided more than 1,200 pounds of food.
