Though often unseen and unnoticed, hunger exists in communities across the United States. We have seen how hunger impacts the most vulnerable members
of our community, our children. We created the “Friday Food Bag” program to put food directly in the hands of the children who need it. We consulted with a nutritionist to help us select healthy, nonperishable foods that do not require cooking. The bags contain multiple servings of protein, fruit, and whole grains.

The program was successfully launched and various schools in Laramie County School District #1 are provided bags on an as needed basis. The social workers
in the schools select the children that receive the bags and we typically distribute seventy-five to a hundred bags of food a week. Members of the Cheyenne office
have spent several hours shopping for food, filling food bags, and delivering bags to the schools. We raised funds and solicited help from other law firms and local
businesses for this project.
