The School Food Project—From the Garden
To the Table—is a multi-faceted project. The basic goal
of this project is to improve Boulder Valley elementary
schools, giving children healthier food choices,
supported by school-run gardens and classroom and
after school lessons and activities involving sustainable
living. We assembled a fundraiser/auction subcommittee
whose goal is to raise $45,000 to put salad bars into all
Boulder Valley elementary schools. Everyone will be
expected to sign up for at least 60 minutes of
volunteering (fundraising, gardening, serving food,
tutoring and pro bono are among the choices). |
